Annette Wernblad is a teacher, speaker and writer who passionately belives that moving pictures can transform our lives if we have the courage to truly listen to what they are telling us. That movies present us with invaluable opportunities to look deep within ourselves and retrieve forgotten powers that we need in order to transfigure and heal our lives and the world we live in.
She is considered one of the foremost authorities on Martin Scorsese in the world and has lectured on film at leading European universities as well as appeared in numerous magazines and newspapers and on national television and radio.
Over the past decades Annette Wernblad has taught American Studies at the University of Copenhagen and Film Studies at the Extramural Department. She owns her own business where she teaches intensive courses and workshops on mythology and archetypal psychology in film, and how they can help us create the life of our dreams.
Annette Wernblad lives in and works out of Copenhagen, Denmark.
She has published the book Brooklyn Is Not Expanding: Woody Allen’s Comic Universe at Fairleigh Dickinson University Press.
Her latest book The Passion of Martin Scorsese: A Critical Study of the Films was published by McFarland in 2011.
